The leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) and the MRF–NEW BEGINNING Parliamentary Group, Delyan Peevski, submitted to the National Assembly a proposal to abolish the Commission for Counteracting Corruption (CPC).
The proposal is signed by all members of the MRF–NEW BEGINNING Parliamentary Group.
With this, Delyan Peevski fulfilled the commitment he made days ago—that the CPC must be closed down because, in its current form, the anti-corruption commission serves those who created it—PP-DB—as a tool for crisis PR and building a false image of “victims,” while failing to take effective action against corruption.
The MRF leader called on all parliamentary groups to support the closure of the CPC and warned that the outcome of the vote will reveal who truly supports Bulgaria being a lawful, European, strong and just state—and who is deceiving and manipulating the public in service of private party interests.
